Onaway Lodge is situated on the renowned Lac Seul waterway. Over 120 miles long and composed of many bays, peninsulas, streams, inlets and hundreds of islands, Lac Seul offers some of the best fishing in the area. With never a portage, you can fish and explore new waters everyday until you find your favorite spot.

Lac Seul is internationally known for its trophy walleye and northern, which offer a challenge to beginner and expert fishermen alike.

Fishing regulations on Lac Seul has initiated a slot size on both walleye and northern and since its inception each year has seen an increase in trophy fish. Onaway Lodge has also committed to ensuring the fishery by initiating a camp rule that there will be no over slot fish brought in and cleaned. We recommend that you have a replica mount done.

Ministry regulations, state that fish that are transported must be identifiable, one fish only per package and 1” of skin for easy identification. We suggested Ziploc bags be used and the fishermen will need to bring these as Onaway does not supply them.

We recommend that you bring a cooler to keep your fish in while out on the water. There are no live wells in the boats as fishing regulations on Lac Seul state there are to be no live fish on Lac Seul other than bait fish. One cooler per boat is necessary. This keeps your fish cool and fresh and helps in ensuring limits are not exceeded.
