Recent Testimonial : We stayed at Timberlane in mid-July. Wendy and Vance ran a great camp. They were there to greet us when we arrived (early) and helped direct us and introduce us to the features of the camp and what we could expect from them throughout the week. The fishing was tremendous with 3 guys going through their allotment of minnows by noon on three separate days fishing for walleyes. A ton of fish were caught and released, we left after six days with nine fish in the 17.5 range and three over the slot limit. As long as the weather cooperated we were able to get out on the lake and nail the walleyes. If the weather didn't cooperate, or we were done for the day we were content to catch walleyes in and over the slot off of the dock - absolutely unbelievable and exciting. The hosts made sure that we were set each morning and they accommodated every request and were always available and willing to help us during the week. The camp was full of guys and gals that were there to catch fish and make sure everyone was having luck and a good time. We will be returning to Timberlane for another great trip.

Recent Testimonial : For anyone looking for a perfect trip with sure thing "easy" walleye fishing, I would like to suggest the Long Lake outpost. The lake is full of walleye that can be caught with about any lure or rig you want to try. The cabin is beautiful as well. My wife and I are going back this summer. It is a perfect get away for a couple or a small group that want to catch all the walleye they like but don't have much experience.

Recent Testimonial : We had a fantastic time on our August 2008 trip. Lake St. Joseph is truly a unique fishery, a real gem. I have fished what many would consider some of the best waters in the Mid-Western United States and Northern Ontario, and absolutely nothing compares to the 90 mile long Walleye factory called Lake St. Joe. I have been fortunate enough to have fished here for over 10 years and have caught a good number of Northern Pike over 40" as well. Some of these fish I would guess to be well over 20 pounds. I realize that the awesome fishing is no news flash to you. My point is this; I have seen time and time again many great fisheries completely destroyed because of poor management. In most cases they never return to what they once were. I would like to commend you and everyone involved in the conservation practices that have been enacted to ensure that the high quality of this natural fishery will remain intact for years to come. Thanks to all at The Old Post and Village for your excellence in customer service, wonderful meals, well equipped accomodations, world class fishing, and mostly memories to last a lifetime. We look with anticipation to returning in late summer of 2009.
