Mitch/Sharon, thanks again for another awesome trip. I can't tell you how great it was to share the smallie fishing with my son. He is still talking about it all. A kid just can't hide the enthusiasm, and every time Lane brings it up, a huge smile comes across his face. He truely had a great time. You guys really take care of us- and we appreciate it. Every year the camp improves over the previous and I hope for your continued success. I know it won't be Lane's last trip! I attached a few pics from this year.

Hey Folks! Just a short note to say "Thanks". We had a great time and I have been handing out your literature to my friends at work today. We had a good tip home on Saturday. My first experience on a Canadian fishing trip was fantastic and worth coming back for! My wife Mary Pat said she would like to come up for our 10th Anniversary trip next year. I just returned from a five day stay at the Old Post with Jack Likens and his group. From the fantastic fishing to the execellent service and very clean cabins you have a top notch lodge wich is five star.Also I loved the history of the Old Post and reading about the lives and cluture of the Ojibwa people very interesting. Wow, what great fishing Jack and I caught around 100 walleyes each day and had doubles on many times, thats a fishermans paradise for walleyes. I didn't fish the big pike as Jack isn't a Pike fisherman but I know you have great pike fishing. I'm a full time guide on Leech Lake in Walker and I have fished The Red Lake area and Ear Falls and Guided for our Govenor's opener on Rainy Lake, I've fished in Canada for over thirity I would highly reccomend the Old Post for a trip. It's a big plus to be able to drive to Lake St. Joe and fish out of your own boat especially when Jack runs over thirty miles to fish each day.Your son's are very polite and work hard ... Lake: Otatakan - Report: Arrived at Otatakan morning of 9/7/08, stayed 9 days. Weather was bad most of the time with wind, rain, and cold. However, the fishing was awesome with large numbers and some nice fish caught. Below is our daily count and time of fishing. This was one of the best trips ever. It was 3 total people. Largest walleye for the trip 26 inches, largest northern just over 40 inches. Which we caught 3 northerns at or just above 40 inches. 9/7/08, Day 1, Rigged up after we flew in the morning, fished 4 hours. Rain and windy. 94 walleye, 2 northern 9/8/08, Day 2, 7 hours of fishing. Wind and some rain. 146 walleye and 3 northern. Caught 26 inch walleye 9/9/08, Day 3, 8 hours of fishing. Wind and sunny. 136 walleye and 11 northern 9/10/08, Day 4, 8 hours of fishing. Windy, Windy, and cloudy. 173 walleye, 5 northern 9/11/08, Day 5, 8 hours of fishing.
