I was at Cedar Lake Lodge during the last week of August 2009 for our first Canadian fishing trip. Al and his crew are top knotch. Dean and Renee are seasoned fishing camp workers and very helpful. Dean always had information to get us on the fish. We caught fish every day and caught so many one day we quit fishing early. Cedar Lake Lodge is very comfortable and a great value for our hard earned dollars. I dont think you would find a better value for the money. You would be hard pressed to find a better experience in another drive in or fly in outfitter. The cabins are very functional and comfortable. The equipment is in good shape and the boat motors start on the first pull. We were so impressed with Al and Cedar Lake Lodge that we booked for August 2010 and cant wait to get back and catch more fish.

Oh sure: these places may LOOK nice, but don't even think about actually vacationing here. (We want to keep the place--and the fish-- to ourselves!) --. "Pretending to be Outdoorsmen Since 1987"

Personally, I couldn't think of a better fishing trip. Hospitality is great. There is a lake full of fish waiting to be found. There is a walk in lake to fantasy fish. Dave, Linda, and staff make it feel like your week is the only week the lodge is open. The best is arriving on Saturday afternoon. The worst is watching the dock crew wash off the boats for the next week and leaving Saturday morning knowing that it will be a whole year before coming back. All in all a great trip!

Wayne and Lydia, Just a little note to let you know how much we enjoyed the fishing trip, the hospitality you extended was tremendous. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We all enjoyed the meal with the wild game. I liked both the Bear and the Moose. I think I like the Moose best. As I found in the past, the boats were clean and dependable. I guess we lucked out with the biting bugs. We did not have any to fight, a few little bites but not enough to be concerned with. Thank you again and may God bless through the year. We hope to see you again next year.

Sept 22-29th, 2007: We are here for the first time, Moose Hunting (Bow) Sun 23-Saw a back end of a bear on the Chukuni River Road. Mon 24-Saw the front end of a bear Canoeing Dixie Creek , from Tote Road. Hear wolves howling, walking a trail off the hwy south of Camp. Tues 25-Canoeing, came across a Bull Moose (No tag) which ran over to a cow and calf. Kevin had a shot at guessed 50 yards which ranged later to 55, shot at the calf and missed low. Wed 26- Birds in the freezer Thurs 27-Found a bedding area, called for the fun of it. Bull Moose came in grunting and crashing all the way. Kevin had a quick broadside look at 35 yards (no tag) and the moose came in to 23 yards before stopping. then spooking. Quite the thrill. Limit of birds today!
