Thanks again for your fine hospitality while we were at Anishinabi! Can't believe I hadn't been there with the crew for six years...I had forgotten how beautiful and great it is! We all had a great time and enjoyed the variety of weather! We made it home just fine, although we had about a two-hour wait at the border. I have attached a couple of pictures from our trip and in fact I'll probably just send four or five at a time so the email isn't so big. I love the picture I took on Isabelle of the sunrise at 5:30 a.m. that morning...sure was peaceful and nice over there! Hopefully I'll be back next year along with my four sons!

Taken from an article entitled "Walleye Fishing the best of times" "Perfect fishing trip" may be an oxymoron, but this much I can say without hesitation: We've been doing this for years, and Big Canon is unquestionably the best place we've found. It isn't the easiest place to get to from Denver, but, if you've ever considered a fly-in to the remote wilderness of Canada, it's tough to beat. And compared with some of the gouging our group has endured through the years, it's reasonably priced.

My trip to Wine Lake was a life altering experience. Whether it was the primitive setting, the commune with nature or just the good fishing and stories, Wine Lake Camp is one vacation I would enjoy taking for the rest of my life!"

This was the first trip to a Canadian shield lake for John Benhart, who wanted to share the experience with his two young grandsons, Alan Benhart and Joseph Benhart. Also along for the trip was John's friend Gary Hampton. John went all-out to make sure this trip was a memorable trip for the boys - new rods, reels, lures, GPS and digital cameras. Never having fished for walleye before, it didn't take long for them to get into they rhythm and start landing fish. Being an experienced angler, Gary was their patient instructor. Gary and the boys racked-up numbers, Grandpa John put them in their place landing and releasing a 28 inch walleye along with his other catches.

When I want to go fishing, I go to Seseganaga Lodge. I am never disappointed. Excellent fishing, good food, CLEAN cabins and bath -- even my wife was impressed! Seriously, I have been to the lodge 8 or 9 times, Mike and Marie know their business. Service is key. I will continue to go back each year -- sometimes twice.

Just a short note to thank you and your staff for our great trip of last June. I am a part of the Capozzi - Towns - Hill group. We had perhaps the finest trip I've experienced in the eight consecutive years I've fished in Ontario. This was my Son's second trip. The fish in the picture is his largest walleye. This fish was 27 1/2 inches. He lost a bigger one later in the week. What amazed me was that eleven of thirteen of our group caught walleyes this big or bigger. The largest of the week was 31 inches, almost matching the 32 inch walleye caught last year at Moose Point by our group. My hat is off to you, catch and consume is producing a phenomenal fishery! In retrospect I regret only that with so many PIG WALLEYES and acrobatic smallmouth bass that we failed to target Shikag Lake's northern pike. Anyway a hearty thank you to you and your staff for the twinkle in my eye that is certain to last until we again visit "the only place where time slows down" Moose Point Lodge.
