Lac Seul

You will be amazed by the great fishing Lac Seul has to offer. Walleye in abundance are a daily occurrence whether it be spring, summer or fall. Northern fishing is excellent all summer long, August and September are better for Bass. While Lac Seul is not known for large numbers of musky, it has produced some of the world’s largest fresh water trophies. Lac Seul is approximately 100 miles long with more than 700 square miles of water. The natural beauty of this lake is spectacular. There are thousands of miles of shore line, hundreds of islands and reefs too numerous to count. There is always somewhere new to fish or explore and discover new "favourite spots". Scout Lake Resort is the first camp on the north end of famous Lac Seul approximately 15 miles before Ear Falls, ON. Our modern LHK cottages have 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms equipped with electric heat, fridge & stove, single beds, 3-4 piece bath, larger cabins have 2 bathrooms, bed linens, hot & cold running water. Our American Plan is all home cooked meals served in our lodge overlooking scenic Lac Seul. We offer 16ft Lunds / 17ft Lund Outfitters supplied with fully padded swivel seats, paddles & boat safety kits. Equipped with either 25 HP or 40 HP motors. Guides, freezer service, fish cleaning house, bait & tackle are also available at camp. If you like to be at a remote location come stay at the only outpost in McKenzie Bay/Lac Seul, 25 miles from main base resort boat-in, which accommodates up to 8 people. Lac Seul

Lac Seul's Scout Lake Resort is located on the Northwest end of Lac Seul. We offer American Plan, Light Housekeeping, Family Packages, Hunting Packages and Outpost Package. With thousands of inlets and bays in its 100 mile length, Lac Seul and good fishing mean the same thing when you talk about walleyes and northern. With never a portage, you can fish and explore new waters every day until you locate your favorite "hole". Reedy bays and steep rock ledges will satisfy even the most ardent fisherman. Lac Seul contains an abundance of Walleye averaging 2 - 5 pounds with large trophy walleye caught throughout the season. Northerns will give you lots of excitement, with 4 - 10 pounders being "just a nice fish", and up to 30 pounds being possible, to provide a real thrill. You'll say "fishin's good on Lac Seul!" Lac Seul and surrounding area has excellent grouse and duck hunting. We also have fall bear hunting at our main base resort on Lac Seul and outpost Camp on McKenzie Bay. Moose hunts are also available but there are a limited number of tags. Our bear hunts, moose hunts, duck hunts and grouse hunts are very successful and in high demand, so be sure to book early!
