Thanks again for your fine hospitality while we were at Anishinabi! Can't believe I hadn't been there with the crew for six years...I had forgotten how beautiful and great it is! We all had a great time and enjoyed the variety of weather! We made it home just fine, although we had about a two-hour wait at the border. I have attached a couple of pictures from our trip and in fact I'll probably just send four or five at a time so the email isn't so big. I love the picture I took on Isabelle of the sunrise at 5:30 a.m. that morning...sure was peaceful and nice over there! Hopefully I'll be back next year along with my four sons!

My trip to Wine Lake was a life altering experience. Whether it was the primitive setting, the commune with nature or just the good fishing and stories, Wine Lake Camp is one vacation I would enjoy taking for the rest of my life!"

"The view of "Welcome Rock" pretty much says what we felt the week we were there. The extremely clean cabin with the clean crisp sheets on the bed, and the shiny floors really impressed us. The well stocked kitchen with the 3 iron skillets really made us feel at home too, and you just can't say enough about the sunrise and sunset as you sit on the camp swings."

Now that we're all settled back home in Madison, I wanted to write and tell you how much we enjoyed the lodge. The accommodations were great and the two of you were wonderful hosts. When I show people the pictures, they can't believe just how picture perfect the cabins and grounds look. We'll never forget the ride through the culvert... what an unusual experience! thanks for taking us your wing a bit and pointing us in the right direction for the walleye. Glen you could probably catch fish in a puddle on Main Street! Tom is still talking about the great rhubarb pie, so I guess we'll have to come back again so he can have some more. I referred the lodge to a friend from work so she'll be checking into everything too. Take care and enjoy the rest of the season.

I just returned from a five day stay at the Old Post with Jack Likens and his group. From the fantastic fishing to the execellent service and very clean cabins you have a top notch lodge wich is five star.Also I loved the history of the Old Post and reading about the lives and cluture of the Ojibwa people very interesting. Wow, what great fishing Jack and I caught around 100 walleyes each day and had doubles on many times, thats a fishermans paradise for walleyes. I didn't fish the big pike as Jack isn't a Pike fisherman but I know you have great pike fishing. I'm a full time guide on Leech Lake in Walker and I have fished The Red Lake area and Ear Falls and Guided for our Govenor's opener on Rainy Lake, I've fished in Canada for over thirity I would highly reccomend the Old Post for a trip. It's a big plus to be able to drive to Lake St. Joe and fish out of your own boat especially when Jack runs over thirty miles to fish each day.Your son's are very polite and work hard ... The father/son 5-day package was just what Travis and I needed. Fishing is one of the few things we still have in common so the trip more than covered that off as well as provided a good way to bond with each other. We really appreciated all the help that you and your staff provide. Ghost River lodge is a must for us to visit again next year. All the best,
