About

Trophy Fishing:
We are located on the shores of Wabigoon Lake, which is one of the best fishing lakes in Northwestern Ontario. Wabigoon Lake is stuffed with Walleye, Muskie, Northern Pike, Crappie, Smallmouth Bass, and Jumbo Perch. There are many lakes within a short drive of our camp that have fantastic Lake Trout fishing.

There are many miles of shoreline, countless bays with weedbeds, islands and rocky points that will make the most demanding fisher person excited. Wabigoon Lake has nine different adjoining lakes, which in total, gives you over 50,000 acres of water to fish. With large amounts of water to fish combined with diverse structure and a heavy forage base, Wabigoon Lake not only produces a high population of game fish but many trophies.

  • Walleye reach 10 pounds with many good eating sizes available.
  • Muskie in the 40 to 50-inch range are caught and released all summer.
  • Northern Pike over 40 inches patrol the many bays
  • There are countless Smallmouth Bass of every size.
  • Our Jumbo Perch are the size of small Walleyes

Accommodation at Bonny Bay Camp

If you enter our main lodge from the summer heat or the winter cold you will be comfortable. Our central air conditioning keeps you cool in the summer or our stone fireplace makes it cozy in the winter. You can sit back and relax and catch your favorite game or race on our big screen satellite TV, watch the tranquility of the lake from the sun room, play a board game with the family or a game of pool, air hockey or foosball. We also have up to 8 cabins for you to choose from, all featuring electric heat and air conditioning, full sized kitchen and shower.

The lodge is a place for you to wind down after a long day on the water or in the woods; it’s a place to discuss hunting or fishing with your fellow guests. Once a week we treat everyone in camp to a dinner, with a great selection of salads, vegetables, meat plates and deserts! Also available in the lodge are snacks, fishing tackle, clothing, phone cards and souvenirs.

Whitetail Deer Hunting:

Over the last few years the Dryden area has been recognized as the hottest spot in Canada for big trophy Whitetail Deer Hunting. Due the vast amounts of wilderness mixed with open land, Whitetail Deer populations are high and every year several bucks are harvested, which rival Milo Hansen’s World Record Whitetail Deer. The famous Dryden Buck was not a fluke. We have giant trophy Whitetail Bucks.

Family Activities & Accommodations:

If you don’t want fishing to be the main focus of your vacation, we have many family activities and local attractions that the whole family will enjoy. Our fully equipped lakeside cabins are clean and comfortable. We also have a campground with serviced lots for RVs, trailers and tent camping.

Black Bear Hunting at Davi’s Bonny Bay

Our camp features an exclusive 350 square kilometer Black Bear Management area. All baits are placed and active a few weeks prior to our hunter’s arrival and we will discuss in detail with each hunter the patterns and habits of each bait site. Ladder stands & platform stands will be at each site, but if you desire you may bring your own. Black Bears in the area are known to exceed 500 pounds and once in a while color variations such as cinnamon bears and chocolate bears are harvested. We will only be taking a limited amount of hunters so please book early.

Grouse Hunting in our area

Ruffed Grouse and Spruce Grouse are plentiful in the Dryden area. You may see a Sharp-tailed Grouse but they are very rare and mainly found on the prairies. We have many trails, old logging roads, ATV trails, creeks and natural animal paths, where you will experience some fantastic fall grouse hunting. We also have other small game such as Rabbit, Fox, Wolf and Coyote. Small game hunting is an add-on to our fishing package.
