Kapkichi Lake

Located 8-miles form town with a well maintained road leading to it. The lake is 10-miles long and has an average depth of 10-12 feet, with two rivers running into it, and one river running out. The boat launch is also in excellent condition and there is a small campsite near the launch. Fishing is very good. Species found in Kapkichi are walleye, northern pike and whitefish. The average walleye being 1.5 to 3-pounds. Lot's of "Lunker" fish can be found here!
